Wedding Service
Our wedding service will be held at Bedford School Chapel, which holds a lot of significance for us. As well as being my school chapel, Nicola used to live almost next door - her family still does - and used to walk through my school grounds on her way to Bedford High.
Timings
Please arrive by 1.45pm for the service to start at 2pm prompt. If you get there late it's a long, embarrassing walk up the aisle to get to a seat. Feel free to arrive early and watch the Old Bedfordian cricket match on the field in front of the Chapel.
Please remain for a group photo on the steps afterwards. Confetti should be biodegradable, e.g. flower petals, thank you!
Getting There
By car - the address is Bedford School Chapel, near Pemberly Avenue, Bedford, MK40 2TU. Parking is available only on Pemberly Avenue and the surrounding roads.
By train - there are frequent trains to Bedford from London, and some from the North. It's best to take a taxi from Bedford station to the Chapel (near Pemberly Avenue, Bedford, MK40 2TU) which should cost about £5.
By coach - we are putting on a coach from Horwood House (for those who choose to check in prior to the service and/or leave their cars in the car park). The coach will depart at approximately 1230pm (to be confirmed nearer the time). It will also make one stop at Jurys Inn in Milton Keynes. Please tell us if you plan to take up this option as numbers are restricted.
Wedding Reception
Horwood House is set in the rolling Buckinghamshire countryside on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. It has an old Pride and Prejudice look that appeals to us and beautiful landscaped gardens. Please feel free to explore!
Timings
The journey from Bedford School to Horwood House takes approx 45 mins. Drinks and canapés will be available from 4pm. Please aim to arrive by 4.30pm for the formal photos - we would hate to miss anyone out. See The Day page for more details on timings.

Getting There
By car - the address is Horwood House, Little Horwood, Milton Keynes, MK17 0PH. There is plenty of parking available. See their site for specific driving directions or use the link over on the right.
By train - it is not possible to get to Horwood House by train from Bedford, but if you choose to check-in to Horwood House on the Saturday morning prior to the service, the closest train station is Milton Keynes station. Trains run to Milton Keynes from London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and others. Take a taxi from the station to Horwood House for about £17.
By coach - there will be a red routemaster London bus taking guests from the Chapel to Horwood House. The capacity is 72 and there are 150 of you so please let us know if you would like to travel by London bus! If demand is high, we can potentially put on another bus.
Getting away
The celebrations finish at 1am and the hotel staff will be happy to arrange a taxi. Horwood House has plenty of rooms if you'd prefer to stay the night. However we recommend early booking as rooms are booking up rapidly for the Silverstone Grand Prix which is on the same weekend.
